About Anthony's Villa

Founded on a deeply personal journey of adoption and the quest for quality care, Anthony's Villa was born from a father's relentless dedication to improving the group home experience for at-risk youth in foster care. Anthony Campbell, our founder, encountered firsthand the stark realities of the foster care system when his oldest child was placed in a group home. Despite its high praise, the reality fell short of expectations, igniting Anthony's resolve to lay the foundation for what would become a beacon of hope and quality care for children like his son.

Returning to the Sandusky area, Anthony was confronted with a lack of adequate mental health support for his child, once again spurring him to action. With a clear vision and the belief that if something isn't done with excellence, it ought to be, Anthony expanded his mission to include mental health services. Anthony's Villa officially came into being in May 2022, and quickly established itself as a nonprofit pillar in the community, gaining licensure by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OMHAS) and accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).

Anthony's Villa became a trailblazer as the first licensed group home in north central Ohio, extending its services across multiple counties. Our unwavering commitment to those we serve was recognized in 2024 when we were selected as one of 20 organizations to expand Intensive Home-Based Treatment (IHBT), notably being the only one awarded funding to utilize the esteemed Multisystemic Treatment (MST) Model.

At Anthony's Villa, our aim is not just to meet the needs of today but to pave the way for a future where every individual has the opportunity to shine. Our services, our people, and our values—Build, Respect, Integrity, Growth, Health, and Teamwork (BRIGHT)—are all focused on one goal: creating a brighter future, for everyone. We are more than a group home and mental health service provider; we are a sanctuary for growth, a catalyst for change, and a steadfast advocate for the well-being and success of each individual we have the honor to serve.
