Team Member Spotlight: Cassidy Guzman
MST Therapist | Advocate | Believer | Forever a Work in Progress

At Anthony’s Villa, every team member plays a vital role in creating a brighter future for children and families—and Cassidy Guzman embodies that mission wholeheartedly. Since joining the team in February 2025, Cassidy has poured her heart into her role as an MST Therapist, delivering intensive in-home therapy with compassion, dedication, and fierce focus.
Cassidy’s Journey to Anthony’s Villa
Cassidy’s journey into social work was shaped by inspiration from a friend and a bit of serendipity—she found Anthony’s Villa by chance on Indeed and was immediately drawn to a job description that felt uniquely aligned with her values. From day one, she knew she had found something special.
Turning Trust Into Transformation
Her days are a balance of client sessions and important behind-the-scenes paperwork, but it’s the moments of human connection that fuel her. One of her proudest moments? Working with a 12-year-old client who agreed to put away beloved items that could cause harm as part of a safety plan. That moment didn’t just reflect trust—it reflected transformation. Cassidy believes deeply in respecting children's autonomy and using empathy and redirection to guide families toward healthier, more hopeful futures.
What keeps Cassidy grounded is her unwavering belief in the mission of Anthony’s Villa: empowering our community’s youth, one child at a time. For her, that’s not just a tagline—it’s a daily responsibility. “This isn’t a job you take lightly,” she says. “We’re stepping into people’s lives during some of their most difficult moments, and it takes compassion, intention, and heart.” She’s proud to be part of a team that doesn’t just fill a service gap—it fills it with purpose.
Grounded in Mission
Cassidy sees the work being done at Anthony’s Villa as catalytic—not just for the families they serve, but for the entire system of care. “This organization was started because someone saw a need and had the courage to do something about it,” she says. “It wasn’t created for anything but to serve. And that’s what makes it different.”
Cassidy’s passion for helping others is grounded in a strong sense of purpose—and a recognition of how crucial self-care is in this work. She says the most important lesson she’s learned is the need to take care of herself in order to be fully present for the families she supports.
Faith, Family, and Self-Care
When she’s not empowering families, Cassidy is all heart and harmony. She’s been singing since she was four (yes, she still knows every word to “My Heart Will Go On”) and lends her voice to her church’s worship team. Her favorite songs—like “Dancing on the Waves” by Bethel and “Living Hope”—remind her of God’s presence, especially during seasons of loss and healing. Jeremiah 29:11 is her go-to verse: “For I know the plans I have for you... plans to give you hope and a future.”
Family is everything to Cassidy. She draws inspiration from her sister, whom she calls her “guidepost,” and finds joy in simple moments with her husband and son—whether it’s watching a movie together after a long day or dreaming of a future trip to Tokyo Disney. Her ideal surprise day off? A trampoline park adventure or a day at Cedar Point with her husband and son with a caramel latte in hand.
What Makes Anthony’s Villa Special
To Cassidy, Anthony’s Villa isn’t just a workplace—it’s a calling. She describes the team culture as deeply supportive and mission-driven, where every person is here for the right reasons. “You can’t passively accept a role here,” she says. “You feel the heart behind it the moment you step into the interview.” If Anthony’s Villa had a mascot, she imagines it would be a peacock—colorful, inclusive, and proud of who it is.
Her advice to anyone considering joining the team? “Know the mission. Understand who you’re working for. If your heart is in helping others, this is where you belong.”
In Her Own Words
Three words to describe Cassidy? Focused. Faithful. Growing.
